As perfect as we may become – as evolved, as developed, as enlightened – the ‘self’ is inherently limited. It’s limited to what it is. It’s this and not that or any other. It’s only a fragment of Reality. It identifies itself as a separate entity and naturally treats everything else as separate.
But this awareness, this awakening to the incompleteness of the limited self, accompanied by the profoundly felt pain of the prevailing separateness, this consciousness comes from the limitless Self. This is the true Self that knows the simple Truth, the Reality, the Oneness expressed in the interconnectedness of all things.
By applying this awareness in everyday life we become servants of G-d. We claim our purpose in being. We become co-creators of a new order. We transform this finite world into a home for His limitless, infinite presence to manifest.
Then there is the limitless, universally shared delight of having Heaven on Earth.
